I have always loved drawing and painting since childhood and I attended John Abbott College (Montreal)  from 1977-1980 (taking one extra year to study photography) and graduating with a Fine Arts Diploma in 1980.  Sadly I wasn’t able to pursue a career in the Arts’ world as it was simply difficult to find such a job when I moved out to Edmonton to become a Military wife to my college sweetheart, Bob.

With having to take on two jobs to pay the bills, then eventually starting a family with Bob  and owning and running a horse boarding facility I had to put my art on hold for a few years.  Only recently have I taken up the paint brush again and in the summer of 2016 I became obsessed with painting with both Watercolour and Acrylics once again!  Now I can’t go a day without painting, reading art books or watching the endless amazing YouTube tutorials on all the facets of making Art!  My true passion for painting has finally returned to me and has brought me such joy! I am simply an art addict once again!

In the winter of 2018 I joined an art group in the city of Ottawa called “Artawa” and also the “Urban Sketchers Ottawa” and in the spring of the same year I joined the wonderful group of artists in the “North Grenville Arts Guild”.

I love to paint animals and objects  while incorporating the fun new mediums that I have recently discovered (Liquid Glass, Crackle Paste, etc.) into my paintings, it’s a fun journey to be on!

My husband Bob has also come back into the wonderful world of Art and is a member of these groups as well plus he’s having fun sketching and painting once again.  One of our sons is also an artist and between the three of us, we enjoy the group outings together or just hanging out at a Cafe to sketch for hours!  I love this wonderful art-filled life of mine!
